Amelia, an 8-year-old little darling! Amelia came to me for a photo studio session to be part of our Dancers For Dandelion Charity Project. A calendar designed to raise funds for a wonderful nonprofit organization. It’s full of beautiful kids, expressing their pure joy for their wonderful world of dance through photography.
Amelia lives in Canberra so this session was quite a journey for her family. How fortunate is she to have such a wonderful dedicated mum?
Mum, Samatha had a wonderful surprise for Amelia’s studio session, purchasing her first little tutu ever! It is just beautiful
The excitement was truly palpable during her studio session, but what surprised me even more, was how excited she was looking at her photos on the TV screen after the session. It was so adorable. The look of “of my gosh that’s me” was brilliant!! Truthfully as a photographer sometimes that’s more rewarding than actually taking the pictures.
Being able to see the joy on a child’s face is everything! Knowing that the studio portraits session has created images that Amelia will treasure for a long time is fantastic. But knowing the session has given her a boost in confidence is even more special.

After we had literally finsiged the session. I asked Amelia if she wanted to test something a little quirky! Amelia was all for it. So with the new studio light and trigger, we tested away! With the patience of a saint, we got this image. And I absolutely LOVE IT! ❤
