Ravi and Isabelle’s, celebrating Indian Weddings at the Waterfront Function Wedding. It was in a word…AMAZING.
What an incredible display of colour and culture. A beautiful sunny May day, just perfect to capture some beautiful images, not only on the mariner but also at Carrs Park.
Isabelle started her day at The Novotel Hotel.
Wedding preparations all going smoothly. The only occasional hiccup was getting the sari one, they can be a little complicated I think, well if you dont have much experience. Help was on hand with lots of Ravis aunts and bridesmaid though. The head piece, the traditional jewels and elaborate accessories along with Isabelle’s classic look was truly stunning.
The ceremony which was all performed at The Waterfront Function Centre was so joyous.
For those of you that have not experience an Indian celebration, let me tell you, they are very long, so grab a seat and get comfortable. I think one of the most beautiful things about being a wedding photographer is being able to capture all the different religions. The different traditions along with such varied rituals and beliefs. All coining together really to create a special husband and wife bond
One thing that struck a real cord that day, was this couples amazing sense of family! Both Ravi and Isabelle had such a beautiful bond with not only their immediate family but with all the guest as well. Two different cultures coming together so effortlessly. The wedding itself so full of tradition, and laughs as well. Just a perfect balance of seriousness, respect and laughter.
Enjoy just a small sneak peak of some of their wedding day images. Hope you enjoy the vibrant colours of Indian weddings as much as I did.
